Industrial wood waste processes to 3-5% of it’s original weight to clean, soil-amending ash and biochar. Extract the metal and spread it on-site, donate it to local farms, or sell it. Natural soil amendment that improves structure and supports plant health. No secondary disposal. No tipping fees. Nothing to haul.
Recyclable Metal
Nails, staples, screws, metal brackets, strapping, and hardware from pallets, crates, and lumber all fall to the bottom of the FireBox burn chamber. After the burn, the metal is collected and sent for scrap recycling. No sorting before loading, no separate metal removal pass — and a scrap metal stream that offsets operating costs.

How do I know which FireBox is right for my operation?
The right machine depends on two things: daily volume and material size. For lighter daily loads of smaller material — offcuts, trim ends, light pallet waste — the Boss Series handles it efficiently and can be towed between locations with a standard heavy-duty pickup. For mid-volume operations with consistent daily wood waste, the FireBox 200 Series is purpose-built for permanent or semi-permanent facility placement. For high-volume operations — sawmills, large ports, manufacturers running multiple shifts — the FireBox 300 Series processes up to 13 tons each hour. Can the FireBox handle wood with nails and metal hardware?
Yes. Air Burners FireBoxes accept pallets, crates, and lumber with nails, staples, screws, metal brackets, and strapping still attached. The metal falls to the bottom of the burn chamber during the burn and can be collected for scrap recycling afterward. No sorting, no pre-processing, no separate metal removal required. Load them as they come off the line.
Can the FireBox keep up with continuous production output?
Yes — the FireBox Series machines are designed for continuous industrial operation. Each 300 Series can operate up to 24 hours per day and process over 300 tons of wood waste at up to 13 tons each hour. For operations running multiple shifts, the machine runs alongside production — load it as material is generated, and the ash and biochar is cleared periodically.
What does it take to move the FireBox between locations?
Boss Series (BurnBoss, TrackBoss, CharBoss):
- BurnBoss — tows behind a standard heavy-duty pickup truck, standard 2″ ball hitch
- TrackBoss — self-propelled on metal tracks, no tow vehicle needed for on-site movement; trailer for road transport
- CharBoss — trailer-mounted, tows behind a heavy-duty pickup, standard 2″ ball hitch
FireBox Series (100, 200, 300 Series):
- 100 Series requires a flatbed, lowboy, slide-axle, or RGN trailer with appropriate heavy tow vehicle
- 200 Series requires a flatbed, lowboy, slide-axle, or RGN trailer with appropriate heavy tow vehicle
- 300 Series requires a oversize road permits on flatbed, lowboy, slide-axle, or RGN trailer with appropriate heavy tow vehicle
Roll-Off FireBox:
- Cable hoist or hook-lift truck, ANSI Z245.60 spec — same truck already hauling your dumpsters
How does operating cost compare to grinding and hauling to a landfill?
Dramatically lower. An industrial grinder costs $900+ per hour to operate and still leaves 98 tons of chips per 100 tons of input — all of which may need to be hauled.
