Does this mean we don’t need a chipper anymore?
For many operations, yes — the FireBox can replace the chipper entirely. The model shift is simple: instead of chipping on-site and hauling chips, the crew loads brush and logs as-is onto the truck, brings it back to the centralized FireBox at the yard, and eliminates it there. No chipper on the truck, no chip disposal costs, no tipping fees. For operations that still want the option to produce chips for clients, the chipper can be retained for specific jobs — but the FireBox handles everything the chip truck used to at a fraction of the cost.
Can the FireBox handle large diameter logs and stumps?
Yes — this is one of the biggest advantages over a chipper. Chippers have diameter limits and struggle with large logs and stumps. The FireBox accepts whole logs, large diameter wood, and stumps without any size reduction. The material just needs to fit into the top of the machine — and the larger the FireBox, the larger the material it accepts. The FireBox handles the material that would jam or damage a chipper.
What does it take to move the FireBox between locations?
The BurnBoss tows behind a standard heavy-duty pickup — the most mobile option for tree companies that want to bring the machine to larger job sites. The FireBox 100 Series and 200 Series transport on a standard flatbed or lowboy without oversized road permits. The 300 Series requires a flatbed, lowboy, slide-axle, or RGN trailer, and oversized road permits for transport.
